Diane, You have been to Rockingham County (VA) numerous times. The PreK teachers and assistants love you. You have provided them with so many great and practical ideas that they have taken back to their classrooms and immediately used. Your stories and examples are easy to relate to as you have experienced much of what the teachers are experiencing on a daily basis. Because of the inclusion background you bring, we have been able to invite our ECSE staff to attend your presentations as well. The bond that has formed between the two groups of teachers has been invaluable.
Nancy J. Lantz
Director of Title I, Preschool, TLC, PK-5 Counselors, Summer School, Student Teachers and Homeless Liaison for Rockingham County Public Schools
Diane Postman was a talented teacher in the classroom, branching out as a professional development provider will broaden her range of impact for early childhood development. I highly recommend her for training of teachers, to deliver model lessons in the classroom for teacher instruction, or even as a keynote speaker for parent involvement meetings, a requirement that follows Title 1 funding.
Dr. Kimberly Huesing
Director of Elementary Instruction, Carlsbad Unified School District, Carlsbad, CA
"I have been teaching at OWG (Original Walker Grant) for 20 years, and your workshop was the best presentation I have ever attended."
Kay Blackburn, Early Childhood SpEd Teacher
"Diane Postman is an outstanding teacher who has shared her expertise over many years by conducting training workshops at the local, regional and state level. Further, she was featured in a training CD on classroom data collection created by the Training and Technical Assistance Center at Old Dominion University for teachers of young children with disabilities, and she welcomed other teachers into her classroom where she modeled effective teaching practices. Teachers who have seen Diane’s training presentations love her enthusiasm and creativity, and always ask her to return to conduct another session." Kerry Lambert, Ph.D.,
Director, Training and Technical Assistance Center at Old Dominion University
"Diane is a master in her field. Her presentation and materials are well organized, informative, and she relates to her audience using her own experiences in the classroom. (There is an) abundance of information in the presentations and handouts that can be put to use right away in the classroom."
Julia Bobrick, VSQI State Mentor
"As a teacher, Diane is engaging, exciting and knowledgeable. She radiates energy and enthusiasm. Due to Diane’s competence and implementation of best practices in the early childhood special education classroom, she was invited to lead workshops for teachers and staff at the local, regional and state levels. Her workshops were informative, practical and hands on. The evaluations she received from the participants were superior."
Pam Hurley, Norfolk Public Schools Classroom Teacher (formally at TTAC ODU)
"I am both a preschool director and a state mentor. One of the most challenging aspects of both jobs is to find meaningful inservice experiences. Whenever I have Diane Postman present a program . . . I know (participants) will be entertained and educated. Her ideas are . . . educationally sound."
Judy Hunt, Director Hidenwood Presbyterian Preschool
"Clear, relevant presentation through PPT, interactive discussion, acting-out, and lots of visual materials. Highly commend. Two thumbs up!!!"
R Buenaflor, Child and Youth Program Asst., Naval Air Station Oceana
"...I have watched (Diane) touch the lives a many childcare workers… (who need someone to provide) guidance, practical ideas and solutions. Diane is just that person. She is energetic with knowledge from years of experience. Diane has been the perfect person to provide one-on-on instruction as well as working very effectively with a group of 25 or more. …I have also seen how comfortable she is presenting information to early childhood teachers.
Diane is very confident in her expertise and knowledge, therefore she keeps all educators engaged. No matter who attends Diane’s trainings they all leave motivated and excited. She is the presenter that the teachers and caregivers ask for over and over."
Beth Diehl, M.S. Ed., Virginia Star Quality Initiative Mentor and Rater, Past President of the Tidewater Association for Early Childhood Education
"She was extremely knowledgeable and showed specific techniques which teachers could try the next day in their classrooms."
Molly Broderson, Principal Achilles Elementary School
"Enthusiastic, experienced presenter. Good examples. Audience participation, well thought out. Useful, appropriate content." Teacher, Hilton Presbyterian
"Excellent ideas on changing “time-out” to “cool-down” area. Well organized, great PowerPoint and speaker." Teacher, Denbigh Presbyterian Pre-K
"She discussed topic (thematic planning) excellently with well-prepared PPT presentation and materials. The way she did the presentation would tell the audience how experienced she is in this field. Very credible. She also made the session interactive." Teacher, CDC
