Fine Motor Skill Development (2 - 2.25 hours)
This workshop outlines the stages of fine motor development. Emphasis is placed on scissors and pencil/crayon skills. Fun, developmentally appropriate activities that involve bilateral hand use to strengthen muscles and control will be discussed. Participants will be engaged in multiple hands-on activities which will create some "aha" moments.

Making Sense of Sensory Experiences (2 hours)
This workshop helps teachers to discover ways to use sensory experiences as part of classroom thematic instruction. Methods include ways to use sensory activities to elicit language, foster student relationships, and expand vocabulary. (Because of the length of time required to prep materials, set up, and clean up, there is an additional charge for this workshop.)

Outdoor Provocations (2-2.25 hours)
A provocation is a stimulus to provoke thought, curiosity, exploration, and conversation.
The adult provides open-ended materials for children to use for discovery learning. These activities foster thinking skills and creativity and are FUN!
This training introduces teachers to a variety of provocations that can be set up on most outdoor spaces. The training provides an introduction, information on tying literacy to provocations, and time at the end for reflection. Most of the session will be conducted outdoors. Due to the hands-on nature of this training, there will be an additional charge for set up and clean up.
