Art: Process VS Product
This workshop guides the participants to see the value of process vs. product oriented art. Free exploration of materials in small group settings as well as during the use of an art center will be discussed. Strategies for strengthening fine motor skills, supporting the development of hand dominance, crossing the midline, and adaptations for children with special needs will be presented. Embedding cross-curricular and IEP objectives, as well as language development into art will be an area of focus.
Art survival tips will also be offered.
Because of the extra length of time to prepare materials, set up, and clean up for this workshop, there will be an extra 1 hour charge.
Other workshops can be created upon request.
